I am looking into creating an emulator for this star. I will post updates as it comes along.

Can you make an emulator with Microsoft? The video on taiganet showed how bill created the Weatherstar 4000 v3 video.

As I have said before the project might be a little more delayed than expected but I'm not giving up.

So, when do you anticipate some progress on the Jr emulator? I made a programmed one a while ago (lost it in a system format), but it is fairly easy. Just make the program parse a XML source with the VB MSXML2 plugin. I am sure you know what I am talking about, and will likely be different if you are using METAR reporting stations. Anywho, can't wait to see some progress

Well I first wanted to tackle the Wxscan v1 emulator thats the most active project. But thats next on the list. BTW were you ever able to insert weather warnings? I find the warning data directly from the nws very difficult to collect.

I do not know at the time. The problem with the National Weather Service's warning feed is that they use the enter key, which makes a big problem with formatting it to a LDL... or on a bulletins page.

And what is your data source? NWS? Since the WunderGround feed lacks alot of data needed for a WeatherScan, or WeatherStar emulator.

Well for now I am using both yahoo weather and the nws xml feeds. I used yahoo because the format seemed much easier to enter.

That's a good feed Oh, I so hope that it'll have proper warning/watch/advisory functions, as well as a Ad Crawl, loop option, etc.

Out of question, I was wondering if maybe the Jr could be implimented into your "Virtual TV Station" program, so it'll play on the 8's with some random songs in a playlist. I know I am going ahead of my self... and likely further then you want to think about, but that could be a cool option to just emulate the Jr or use it with that program.

Only problem is that the its in a different language. But possibly in the future i could find a way. But that could be a while haha.
