Ah, do you own an XL like Brian?...I guess the main things I need to know now is how the LDL/ad crawl and the warnings worked. Do you know about any of that? Weatherscan XL V1 Emulator (DOWNLOAD HERE!) [DEAD] 42310

I essencialy own the XL hardware, just no XL hard disk, and it's not branded as the XL. It's SGIs o2, with the exact same parts as the XL (mostly).

The LDL I do not know that much about. I could try figuring out more about it, but I don't know at the moment. Sorry Sad

9Weatherscan XL V1 Emulator (DOWNLOAD HERE!) [DEAD] Empty First video! Sun Oct 03, 2010 6:43 pm

The first video of the emulator in real-time. Much improvement is still needed but its a good standing ground. I recorded the video just after the warning crawl expired but normally it scrolls just like a regular warning. (It's coded in C# btw)

Feedback is welcome! Weatherscan XL V1 Emulator (DOWNLOAD HERE!) [DEAD] 623348

Okay the pre-public beta is open for anyone who would like to try it. Its not configurable right now. The main goal currently is to see if it runs smoothly. If it looks like the video, its not right. Everything (the transitions, the warning scroll, etc.) should run nice and smooth. I've been having trouble with it lagging so I want to see if its me or the program. Any takers? Smile

Here ya go! It is now configurable. Please test out different zip codes and tell me if any aren't working, please test the LAS crawl for speed/performance, and also please tell me your opinion! Very Happy

Fired it up real quick before I head to bed, work at 6am >.< just used my home zip code as a test run and I must say quite impressive from what I saw. I'll configure completely tomorrow and play around with it but nice work.

It ran that initial time however when I try to launch it again with the same setup as my test run I get an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Any suggestions? Meant to post back yesterday sorry about that but some things came up.

This has happened to me before. Try restarting the program.

I have a little free time now and there are plenty of counties under watches and warnings I am going to test it out with.

Are you using the correct fonts? Because if not, you will need to implement them into the program it's self so no one can use them. I have them if you want me to send them to you.

Here's a error I am getting. I enter in ZIP code 80863 (Woodland Park, Colorado), and I also put it on the map, and I get this error. I am running this on Vista with XP SP2 Compatibility mode with Administrative Mode...

Yep i am fixing that now. Its a bug in the code on my part. The index for the months i gave was 0-11, but now the almanac page is in December for the moon phases so thats why the index is out of bounds. And I dont think I am using the right fonts it used. If you could send that would be great.
