Hi, now I know this forum hasn't been active lately but this is the one project that is a total go! The Weatherscan XL v1 emulator!

The warnings work like this. There is an xml file in the weatherscan directory entitled "alerts" and there are 3 stages of alerts, Code Red, Code Orange stage 1, and Code Orange stage 2. The program uses this xml to determine what characteristics each warning has.

Warnings listed under Code Red have the red bg and have an alert tone. Warnings listed under Code Orange stage 2 have an orange bg with an alert tone. But warnings listed under Code Orange stage 1 have an orage bg but no alert tone. Winter Storm Warning is listed as a Code Orange stage 1, therefore no alert tone.

Ah thank you for the explanation. So far this is an excellent I have outputting to my 20' tube tv via s-video cable and from soundcard to tv with 3.5mm to RCA audio adaptor. Looks authentic and I greatly appreciate it. I don't have cable and 24/7 doppler radar over the air channel was canned last may so this is awesome. Once I got all the correct configuration setup I have not had any problems yet. Anything in particular you want feedback/testing on?

well i got my computer back and i loss all of my stuff when i installed windows 7 by mistake and i am reinstalling all of my stuff back into my windows xp but i hope the product key still works thinks for reading this

Check the Weatherscan.txt in the programs folder and tell me what the last thing says. This is the error log where any bugs are archived.

How do you setup radar? I cant get a twc link. How can you obtain that? Anyhow, there is the data as requested.

I honestly think that a new radar feed needs to be put in place. The TWC radar lacks many cities and metro areas, plus it's just difficult to use.

Hmm..that error seems like an unselected map issue..are you sure you have selected a regional map?

As for the radar you can obtain the map for your zip code by entering the following URL, and replace the '99999' with your zip code. Then just click "Weather In Motion" and right-click on an image to obtain the direct url: http://www.weather.com/weather/map/99999

Could you send me the key please for the Weatherscan XL?

Yes. It will continuously update data as long as there is an internet connection.

I recently sent a pm and as of right now I do not have the serial to activate or to install, please I would like to have a serial, thanks.

I can't seem to locate the proper radar for my area, zip code 49431. I tried the link on the last page for someone with the same problem. That link to weather.com/weather/map/99999 no longer exists.
This is my error log. I assume it's something with the radar. The screen loads, then I get a black screen for a second and the program closes.

I apologize ahead of time if the answer was right in front of me.

Though I am still having issues. After loading my settings and press run, the program loads. Then a small black screen appears and the program shuts off. I m running windows 7 64 bit. Changed compatibility mode to xp service pack 3 run admin ( as someone mentioned in previous reply). When I troubleshoot compatibility Microsoft tells me program not compatible with windows 7. Is there something I might be missing?
